Our Mission and Vision for HCSL
Hub City Soccer League (HCSL) was established in February 2025 with a clear and passionate goal: to provide an affordable, competitive, and local soccer platform that supports the development of young players throughout West Texas and surrounding regions. We recognized a vital need to bridge the gap between recreational and elite-level play, creating a fair and inclusive environment where the focus remains firmly on the players and their growth, without the often-prohibitive costs and extensive travel associated with traditional club systems.

Our Mission is “Built for players. Priced for families. Just soccer” reflects our core commitment to making competitive youth soccer accessible and meaningful. We strive to achieve this by prioritizing player development, maintaining affordability for families, and fostering a strong sense of community spirit across the diverse landscape of West Texas. Our vision is to become the premier community-based soccer league in the region, uniting cities through the shared love of the game and shaping the next generation of players by actively removing financial and geographical barriers to participation.
Meet Our Founder
Ivan Navarro
Hub City Soccer League is the realization of a long-held vision by its founder, Ivan Navarro. For over two decades, Ivan has served the West Texas community as a dedicated healthcare professional, working alongside esteemed physicians and surgeons. His career in radiologic medical services is characterized by a deep sense of compassion, meticulous precision, and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of his patients.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Ivan is deeply involved in his local community. As an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lubbock, he serves as the Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister Coordinator, providing spiritual comfort and communion to the sick and homebound within hospitals and private residences.
For more than ten years, Ivan and his family have also quietly organized annual Thanksgiving and Christmas meal drives, providing hundreds of complete holiday meals to families in Lubbock and nearby towns facing various hardships. This selfless effort is carried out anonymously, underscoring Ivan’s deep respect for the dignity of those receiving assistance.
Ivan’s extensive experience in both healthcare and community service embodies the same fundamental values that inspired the creation of Hub City Soccer League: humility, a spirit of service, and a genuine desire to uplift others. His vision for HCSL extends far beyond the boundaries of the soccer field. It’s about cultivating a supportive community where every child and every family has a place to grow, compete, and feel a sense of belonging. Hub City Soccer League is a testament to Ivan’s belief that every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy and development that quality soccer can offer, right here in West Texas.
